Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

LOCKD•N provides NFC-enabled bands and a digital profile that opens when someone taps one. This policy explains what we collect when you use the LOCKD•N website, mobile app and bands, and what we do with it. It also covers the people who tap your band, even though they may not have a LOCKD•N account.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the account identifier that provider gives us. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
  • Profile data: anything you choose to publish on your profile — job title, company, bio, phone number, website, social links, profile photo, theme and, on Business plans, your logo. This is deliberately public: it is what a band tap shows.
  • Band data: the hardware identifier of each band, when it was activated, and which profile it points at.
  • Tap and usage analytics:when your profile is viewed, which links are clicked, whether a contact was saved, the device type and referrer, and an approximate country and city derived from the visitor's IP address. We do not store the visitor's full IP address alongside these events, and we do not track individuals across other websites.
  • Leads and connections: if a visitor submits the contact form on your profile, we store the name, email, phone number and message they entered so we can pass it to you. Connections you make in the app are stored as a link between two accounts.
  • Order data:the items you buy, the shipping name, address, phone number and email you provide, and your order history. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are never sent to or stored on our servers — we keep only Stripe's customer and payment identifiers.
  • Subscription data: whether you hold a Pro or Business entitlement, supplied to us by RevenueCat from your App Store or Google Play purchase. We do not see your store payment details.
  • Device and notification data: a push notification token for your device, your language preference and your notification settings.

3. How we use it

  • To run your account, your profile and the bands linked to it.
  • To take payment for orders, ship them, and handle refunds or disputes.
  • To confirm which subscription features your account may use.
  • To send you service messages: verification and password-reset codes, order confirmations, shipping updates, lead alerts and security notices. These are not marketing and cannot be switched off while your account is active.
  • To show you analytics about how your own profile is performing.
  • To keep the service secure — for example rate limiting and abuse prevention.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors, each only for the purpose listed:

  • Stripe — payment processing for band orders. Stripe receives your name, email and shipping address so it can process the payment and defend disputes.
  • Apple and Google, via RevenueCat — subscription billing and entitlement status.
  • Google Firebase — sign-in with Google and push notification delivery.
  • Our email provider — delivery of the service messages listed above.
  • Our hosting provider — running the service and storing its data.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. How long we keep it

Account, profile and band data is kept while your account exists. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted, because we are obliged to retain proof of sale. Analytics events are tied to the band or profile they belong to and are removed when that profile is deleted or the band is released to a new owner.

6. Your rights and choices

  • Delete your account: in the app under Settings, or at lockdnapp.com/delete-account. Deleting removes your profile, links, leads, connections and analytics, and releases your bands. It cannot be undone.
  • Access or correct your data: most of it is editable directly in the app. For anything else, contact us.
  • Notifications:push notification categories can be adjusted in the app's notification settings, and at the operating-system level.
  • Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to a copy of your data, to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and card details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

8. Children

LOCKD•N is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We operate globally and ship worldwide, so your data may be processed in a country other than your own, including by the providers listed in section 4.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
